The social work role will entail: assessing individuals, creating and implementing treatment and support packages, evaluating and monitoring improvements as well as advocating for individuals.

The overall purpose is about making more than a difference in people’s lives

The Best Interests Assessor (BIA) is a specialist role that requires the ability to make informed, independent best-interest decisions as well as effectively assess risk in complex situations, and use analysis to make proportionate decisions

Consultancy services in Health and Social Care

At CARE RESET we are able to provide advice and guidance on the following

  • Auditing and continuous improvement plans
  • Setting up care homes
  • Improve CQC ratings
24 hour Care

24-hour care, or live-in care, is support that covers you morning, evening and night so that you are never left without the assistance you need. With 24-hour care, you have the constant reassurance that there is always someone there to provide you with consistent and professional care to the highest standards. Whether you need assistance with personal care in the morning or if you need support to access the toilet safely in the middle of the night, your dedicated team of carers will be there whenever you need them.

Live-in care is seen as a direct alternative to home care or supported living arrangement, as it enables you to receive 24-hour care on your terms, and in the comfort and familiarity of your own home. Live-in care means having a fully trained carer living with you in your own home. Your live-in carer will support you with your specific needs to keep you comfortable and independent at home. Our live-in carers and companions help with:

Whether it’s helping with personal care, keeping on top of the chores or moving around the house, many of our carers become a rock to their clients, enabling them to live the way they want every day. Call us today to talk about your care needs and see how live-in care may suit you.

With the daily help a carer, you or your loved one have the choice to stay in your own home. Our customers, like Winifred (see below), say that the one-to-one support they receive is beyond compare.

How a live-in carer could support you in your home

Welcoming a new person into your home can be quite daunting. It may be the first time you’ve ever lived with someone else, or you might not have lived with someone since your partner passed or your children left home. Either way, our team will work with you to find a live-in carer that will suit your medical, practical and emotional needs. Regardless of whether you’re a football fanatic or a green-fingered gardener, we’ll work with you to select a carer that has similar interests to you so, that you can share your favourite hobbies whilst also receiving the highest quality of care that is tailored entirely around your needs.

Provision of personal and specialist medical care

Whatever your live in care needs are, we can support you to live as independently as possible, all within the comforts of your own home. Our live-in carers are provided with award-winning training at our bespoke centre in Warwickshire, enabling them to assist with a variety of different medical conditions and health requirements. And because our carers regularly receive refresher training and are fully-supported by their Live-in Care Manager, you can rest assured that if your needs change our carers will adapt around you.

Companionship

Having a live-in carer is a fantastic way to have one-to-one support for both your physical and mental needs. Above all, the chance to always have someone there to talk to about your past, concerns or what’s going on in the world can make a real difference your overall health.
The Royal College of Psychiatrists states that those living with a physical disability are more likely to develop depression or anxiety, so a live-in carer could be pivotal in helping to alleviate any symptoms associated with poor mental health. Simply being there to listen or talk through any concerns or worries that you may have could make a real difference. Not only could this help with your mental wellbeing, but you will also gain much more than a carer; you’ll gain a friend.
According to the Campaign to End Loneliness, being isolated from others can be as bad for your health as obesity and smoking can for any age group, not just the elderly. So being able to have a link to the outside world, which is often just your live-in carer, is incredibly important to your overall wellbeing. As well as providing an ear to listen to, a live-in carer can enable you to keep in touch with your social circle when you may have found this impossible to do alone.
Regardless of your diagnosis, symptoms or care needs, having a live-in carer means that your physical requirements are taken care of as well as your mental health and wellbeing. You and your loved ones can rest assured that you’re in safe hands, whilst upholding your dignity and routines that you’re used to in the comfort of your own home.
Little and often, our visiting care makes a real difference
Visiting care offers the support you want, when you need it, so you can continue living from the comfort of your own home. With help from as little as half an hour a week and up to several visits a day, a visiting carer can make all the difference.

Dementia care

Whether you live as a couple and one or both of you has dementia, or you live alone but need extra support as your symptoms continue to progress, a live-in carer will get to know you, your routines and your care needs so that you don’t have to compromise on your independence. As well as always having someone on hand to assist you with your personal care or mobility, we understand how important it is to have consistency and familiarity – which is why seeing the friendly face of your own personal live-in carer who knows how you like your tea or what your favourite TV programme is could be so beneficial if you have dementia.
What’s more, a live-in carer can also make sure that you continue to keep up to date with your friends, family and favourite hobbies by accompanying you out and about to your local garden centre, café or park. Just because you have a dementia diagnosis, it doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the things you used to like doing – you might just need a little help or alterations made along the way.

Ensuring dietary and nutritional needs are met

Living well is greatly affected by what we eat and – according to the NHS – can make us feel better physically as well as mentally. Ensuring your dietary needs are met is something that we take very seriously at CARE RESET, which is why each and every one of our live-in carers are able to cook. Some are even ex-chefs who have a whole repertoire of tasty dishes that they can whip up in an instant!
Whether it’s a good old-fashioned roast dinner that you fancy, a lighter option of cheese on toast or if you want to try something a bit more exotic like a Spanish paella – our live-in carers will make sure you get a tasty meal that tickles your taste buds whilst adhering to your medical or nutritional needs.
And just because you have a live-in carer, it doesn’t mean that you can’t help to prepare your meals or go shopping with your carer for fresh fruit and vegetables. Sometimes making something from scratch or reigniting an old recipe from your younger years can be quite a therapeutic and enjoyable process and something that you can enjoy doing together as friends.

Lighten the load of everyday domestic tasks with your live-in carer
Live-in carers don’t just assist with personal care or preparing your meals; they’ll help with keeping your house clean and tidy just how you like it. To lighten the load, they can assist with:

  • Changing the bedsheets
  • Washing up and wiping surfaces
  • Dusting and vacuum cleaning
  • Cleaning the toilet, basin and washing area

Love spending time in your garden but are struggling to get outside? Are you behind on your dead-heading? Well, we can reinvigorate the love you had for your garden by helping to water the plants and keep your bird feeders topped up. There’s nothing better than being immersed in nature and getting some fresh air, and whether you’re a wheelchair user or just need an arm to hold on to, your live-in carer can make sure you get into your garden as and when you want to.

Supported living

With supported living, you can retain your autonomy and independence by being supported in your own home. Each person living in supported living has their own tenancy and pay their own bills. The service you receive is tailored to your individual needs, and you have a say in how it is provided. You have access to support with personal care, finances, health, housing, and leisure activities. You can also access external services such as education, employment, and leisure activities.

CARE RESET provides supported living to individuals over the age of 18, regardless of how their support is funded. Your local authority can refer you to access supported living services, whether or not you are eligible for funding towards your support costs.  Nevertheless, we also accept self-referrals where you can get in touch with us directly.

Our supported living services are inspected and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England. At CARE RESET, we have an internal audit process which ensures we’re doing what we set out to do, such as providing individualised, person-centred and flexible support that enables individuals to live a fulfilled and happy life.

We aim to hopefully reduce any pressure, worries and stress from families when searching a bespoke service for a loved one. At CARE RESET we treat everyone with patience, good humour, compassion, and understanding and most importantly respect.
